According to our sources, Lukashenko is scheduled to pay an official visit to Myanmar in November.
The main objectives of this trip are:
- to show that Lukashenko's regime is not isolated in the world arena and still has foreign partners;
- find new economic allies as access to Western markets is limited due to sanctions;
- Discuss the sale of Belarusian military products to Myanmar.
It is expected that the talks will consider such areas of cooperation:
- supply of electronic warfare systems (EWS);
- selling and possibly organizing on-site assembly of drones (UAVs);
- modernization of old military equipment now used by the Myanmar Army.
According to our analysis, the visit has a double meaning - both political and practical. Lukashenka wants to show that he is still able to conduct international negotiations despite the sanctions pressure. At the same time, he is trying to promote the export of the Belarusian defense sector to the Asian market.
Long Live Belarus!
