Another business trip of our representatives to the Republic of Lithuania took place, which lasted for almost a week.
The main event for our team was our participation in the conference "New Belarus 2024."The event was held on August 3-4 in Vilnius. An event of this scale provided an opportunity to interact with various representatives of the democratic movement, meet with allies, listen to sound advice and offer something in return.
BELPOL separately welcomes the appointment Vadim Kabanchuk as the Defense and National Security Representative of the Joint Transition Cabinet. For our part, we will provide all possible support to Vadim Mikhailovich and are happy to cooperate with him.
In addition to all of this, both before and after the conference team BELPOL held a number of meetings with representatives of state authorities of the Republic of Lithuania, as well as diplomatic missions located in Vilnius. The main topic of the meetings was strengthening sanctions pressure on Lukashenko's regime, monitoring and blocking attempts to circumvent sanctions, as well as harmonizing and clarifying certain sanctions positions.
On August 2, 2024, we held a meeting with the Svetlana Tihanovsky's officeIn the framework of which positions on interaction between the Office, individual representatives of the DIC and BELPOL were agreed upon.
A significant event for our organization is awarding BELPOL spokesman, "People's Reporter" Alexander Kabanov with the "Unconquered" medal. We sincerely congratulate Alexander and express our gratitude for his invaluable contribution to the BELPOL team.
