During their visit to Brussels, BELPOL representatives held a working meeting with the European External Action Service (EEAS). The discussion was a continuation of our cooperation on regional security issues. and preparing the next EU sanctions packages.
A representative of BELPOL also took part in an international conference organized by the Mission of Democratic Forces in Brussels in conjunction with NATO's Public Diplomacy Division. The theme of the event was a discussion entitled «Belarus: Part of or a Separate Element of European Security?».
Participants discussed key aspects of regional security, the impact of Lukashenko's regime on the situation in Eastern Europe and emerging threats, as well as possible response strategies by international partners.
The event was organized by the Office of Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, the Warwick Ukraine-Belarus Hub, the Kosciuszko Institute for Security Studies, the Center for Baltic and East European Studies (CBEES), and the Mission of Democratic Belarus in Brussels.
