According to the documented information received by BELPOL, there is no information on the OJSC Minsk Automobile Plant ("MAZ") a very unfavorable situation has developed. Due to the outflow from supposedly "prosperous" Belarus qualified personnel and the effects of international sanctions, the company does not cope with the production program.
So, only under contracts with "civilian" consumers, In 2023 and the first quarter of 2024, MAZ did not deliver on time about 300 vehicles (trucks, trailer equipment, chassis for truck cranes and special vehicles). In addition, there are cases of delayed deliveries of military vehicles.
In their reports to the dictator, the administration of the enterprise and the leadership of the so-called "Ministry of Industry" justify this state of affairs by "a large number of imported components, supply chain disruption their supply and inability to make direct payments manufacturers due to international sanctionsincluding those from "friendly countries", as well as labor shortage".
So the sanctions are working after all!
In order to solve the "staffing problem" MAZ signed an agreement with the Agency for External Labor Migration under the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan for organized recruitment of citizens of the said state to the enterprise.
Within the framework of this agreement MAZ has already employed over 100 citizens Uzbekistan.
As for the quality of manufactured vehicles, there is even less optimism. What are the true causes of spontaneous combustion of MAZ buses, we will tell you in our next article.
BELPOL continues to monitor the situation.
Zhyve Belarus!
