Lukashenko maintains PMC "Wagner" at the expense of the Belarusian people
July 17, 2023 The dictator signed the law on ratification of the Agreement on the establishment and functioning of the so-called combat training centers for joint training of Belarusian and Russian servicemen. We believe that Belarusians will be interested to know the content of the above-mentioned agreement. documents, especially considering the relocation of the legally non-existent Russian PMC "Wagner" to our country and its inclusion in the "regional grouping of troops".
Thus, article 7 of the Agreement states that "the personnel of military contingents, while in combat training centers, shall wear the uniforms and insignia established in their national armed forces, unless otherwise agreed by the Ministries of Defense". That is, Belarusian servicemen can be dressed in the uniform of the Russian army and vice versa - "for the convenience of combat functioning".
According to article 10 - the host party, i.e. Belarus provides the Russian contingent at the training centers with meals, fuel and lubricants, real estate, engineering and airfield infrastructure, electricity, heat energy, other types of utilities and medical care free of charge.

On the basis of article 11 - personnel of the Russian military contingent may use personal weapons, armaments and special equipment on the territory of Belarus in the course of combat duty and the performance of other combat training tasks.
Thus, as a result of the signing of the said agreement Russian troops and PMCs have received legal grounds to stay on the territory of Belarus on a gratuitous permanent basis. And they will not defend the interests of the Belarusan people.
