The events that took place in Belarus in 2020 and the following years have shown how important the people's solidarity, mutual assistance and support is, including that of strangers. We all remember, see and appreciate the help that ordinary people provided and still provide to each other, collecting funds for this purpose in "social networks" and on various Internet platforms. However, continuing the imposition of their anti-human ideology, the dictator and his lynch mob, out of his mind, do not give up the idea of destroying the Belarusian people's solidarity.
Thus, according to information received by BELPOL, the lukashists have "discovered new risks"They are a threat to the power illegally seized and held by their leader. Under the guise of "ensuring security and protection of national interests", a "decree" of the self-appointed ruler is being prepared to introduce a permissive procedure of collecting or raising money by legal entities and individuals in the Internet and telecommunications. Whether to "go ahead" with such fees will be decided by the "executive branch" in coordination with the so-called "militia" and "KGB".
It will be prohibited to collect money to finance political parties and public organizations, to conduct "extremist" and other politicized activities "threatening national security, state or public interests". Collections for reimbursement of expenses of persons held criminally or administratively liable will also not be allowed.
At the same time, according to the idea of the initiators, these bans should apply to fundraising on the Internet not only in the national segment, but also beyond its borders. Bank accounts with a special mechanism of opening and mode of functioning will be created for additional control of monetary fees. Similar prohibitions are introduced for non-monetary fundraising.
On toughening repressive measures in the financial sector is also evidenced by the illegitimate ruler's "decree" No. 269 of August 29, 2023, according to the to whom The regime's punitive structures, allegedly "to counter unauthorized payment transactions" and fight fraud, will be able to block bank accounts, deposits, e-wallets and receive information from financial institutions on the basis of "suspicions" only, regardless of "bank secrecy".
BELPOL continues to monitor the situation.
Long Live Belarus!
