According to the information received by BELPOL, the Estonian company MedS&P AS unknowingly became a supplier of medical equipment for the law enforcement agencies of Belarus. We are talking about two contracts dated February 29, 2024: MRI devices Philips Medical Systems Nederland B.V. (Netherlands) were sent to Minsk.
The official documents indicated the Ministry of Health of Belarus as the final recipient of the equipment. However, open sources reported that the equipment was intended not for civilian medicine, but for the military-medical department of the KGB of Belarus.
The Estonian company noticed the discrepancies and sent a request to the Belarusian side to confirm who exactly would be using the equipment.
In response, the Belarusan authorities again pointed to the Ministry of Health.
However, BELPOL has documents signed by KGB chairman Ivan Tertel and head of the KGB Main Health Department Dzmitry Zabelin. They explicitly state that the facility at 13 Makayonka Street, Minsk, is being built for the needs of the KGB.
This proves that the Belarusian Ministry of Health deliberately misled the Estonian company and concealed the real final destination of the equipment.
This case shows once again: Lukashenko's regime uses European companies and their trust not in the interests of ordinary Belarusians and Belarusans, but for the sake of strengthening its power.
All information has been passed on to our Estonian partners and EEAS to analyze and take measures to prevent this from happening again.
Long Live Belarus!
