As part of the briefing organized by the representatives of BELPOL with the support of Kancelář demokratických sil Běloruska v České republice, a detailed analysis of the current situation in Belarus was presented.
The theme of the event, entitled "Decoding Belarus: growing militarization, (un)effectiveness of sanctions and the Czech shadow routeThe "Security and Geopolitical Stability of the Region", covered several key aspects relating to the security and geopolitical stability of the region.
The discussions focused on the questions:
- Dynamics of militarization of the Belarusian economy and the degree of its integration into Russia's military processes;
- The real effectiveness of sanctions pressure, analysis of ways to circumvent them and the impact of restrictive measures on the Lukashenko regime;
- Possible joint steps to strengthen sanctions pressure and minimize the risks of shadow economic interaction between Belarus and the EU countries.
A separate topic is the strategic involvement of Lukashenko's regime not only in the current hostilities in Ukraine, but also in possible future military conflicts.
Analysis of the data presented confirmed that Belarus is playing an increasingly active role in supporting the Russian military machineThis requires an enhanced response from the European community.
Thus, the briefing allowed the diplomatic representatives of different countries located in Prague to get a detailed picture of the processes taking place and to discuss further steps to develop a more systematic approach to counteracting the Belarusian military-industrial complex.
Long Live Belarus!
