BELPOL representatives participated in The Riga Conference 2025, one of the main international forums on security and politics in the region. The conference began with a separate panel on the situation in Belarus. Participants discussed the role of the Lukashenko regime in the Russian aggression against Ukraine and its impact on possible future conflicts.
In his speech, the BELPOL representative emphasized that Aliaksandr Lukashenka is a war criminal who supported the Kremlin before the invasion, during it and to this day. He noted that Belarus was turning not only into a militarized economy, but actually into a tool of the Russian military machine.
The discussion also focused on the large-scale repressions in Belarus and how the regime tries to hide them from the international community.
In addition to participating in the conference, the BELPOL delegation held a private briefing at the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting discussed the intensification of sanctions pressure, the growing militarization of Belarus, threats to the security of the Baltic region and the artificially created migration crisis, which Minsk uses as a tool of hybrid pressure.
Representatives of Latvian state agencies confirmed their unchanged position on Lukashenko's regime and expressed readiness for further coordination with partners in the region.
Long Live Belarus!
